Australia’s most revered singing sisters Vika and Linda Bull will release an inspired album of gospel songs simply titled Sunday (The Gospel According To Iso). Sunday (The Gospel According To Iso) is a careful selection of songs that move them, including compositions going back to the 1930s but with lyrics that still feel as relevant as ever in 2020. Every song on the album was unearthed from their own collections, as well as recommendations from trusted musical friend Paul Kelly, with the exception of ‘Shallow Grave’, which was written especially for Vika & Linda by Kasey Chambers. Sunday (The Gospel According To Iso) features songs originally recorded by Claude Ely, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Mahalia Jackson, Elder Curry, Chuck Berry, plus classics ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ and ‘Amazing Grace’. In June Vika & Linda released their best-of anthology ‘Akilotoa, which debuted at #1 on the ARIA Chart Each Sunday Vika & Linda live-stream a song from Sunday (The Gospel According To Iso) on their Facebook, for their lockdown Sunday Sing Song sessions. Vika & Linda were inducted into the Music Victoria Hall Of Fame in 2019
