SUPERB THREE DISC SET FEATURING RARE ELP BRADCAST RECORDINGS Formed in London in April 1970, when Nice’s keyboard wizard Keith Emerson got together with King Crimson’s Greg Lake and held auditions for a drummer; Atomic Rooster’s Carl Palmer got the job. Huge success followed throughout the 1970s and by the time of their first break-up in 1979, ELP were a truly international supergroup. This triple disc set features rare live recordings from ELP’s early years, spanning the 1971 – 1973 period. First up on DISC ONE is the trio’s quite majestic show recorded at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles in July 1971, while on their first US tour. • Carrying on DISC TWO features another concert from the same year, this time recorded in Dusseldorf in Germany, when ELP played there in June ’71. DISC THREE finds ELP in fine form in May 1973, while performing in both Rome and Milan in Italy that year, bringing this enticing set to a conclusion.
